Douglas Fir Timbers

Douglas Fir is North America’s most plentiful softwood species, accounting for one fifth of the continent’s total softwood reserves; generally grown from the Rocky Mountains to the Pacific Ocean.  Carefully manufactured, seasoned and graded, Douglas Fir is economically and successfully used throughout residential and commercial construction.  Best known for their tough fibers, dense grain structure and strength; also valuable for their rustic beauty and fire ratings.  Timbers are shipped seasoned dry and saw cut from the mill, but may be kiln dried and re-milled here in Texas.  Products re-milled include timbers, dimensional lumber, corbels, brackets, rafter tails and post caps; cut in smooth, rough or hand-hewed finish.
